Produced by Grammy-winning keyboardist Robert Glasper—who will also bring his Robert Glasper Experiment to the ESSENCE Festival, June 30-July 3 in New Orleans—the album fuses Davis’ original recordings with fresh interpretations by artists like Stevie Wonder (“Right on Brotha”), Ledisi (“I’m Leaving You”), Bilal (“Ghetto Walkin'”) and Hiatus Kaiyote (“Little Church”).
