Nobody represents New Orleans quite like veteran Hip Hop mogul Master P–aka Percy Miller--so you know when he put out the call for rising actors and actresses to be a part of his upcoming King of the South biopic, the city showed up and showed out.
Taking advantage of the once in a lifetime opportunity to audition for the highly-anticipated film, thousands made their way to NOLA from all over the south to showcase their acting skills for the 2017 ESSENCE Festival performer and his casting team.
As the line for the casting call wrapped around the building, Master P spoke briefly with the big screen hopefuls about why it was important to him to bring the casting to New Orleans and give some of the city’s undiscovered talent a chance to shine.
