The proud Chicago native recently stopped by the ESSENCE offices to give us a preview of what’s to come when the project officially drops on May 12 and simply put, we were completely blown away. Among several standout tracks on the album is this powerful duet titled “Deliver Me,” featuring none other than R&B megatalent Brandy, whose flawless vocals only add to the already-stellar tune. Produced by Sir himself and inspired by a true story of his sister suffering physical abuse at the hands of the church deacon who was also her husband, the song boasts an empowering message of forgiveness and raw, endearing energy that will leave you speechless and eager to hear more from the self-proclaimed Hip Hop chaplain.
