Yep, that’s right, award-winning actor Idris Elba is just as a sought-after on the turntables as he is in Hollywood, and he’ll also be joining us in New Orleans this July to spin at the 2018 ESSENCE Festival.

But, before hits the stage to perform in NOLA, the mutli-talented entertainer is aiming to heat up the dance floor just in time for summer with a new single. Titled “A-Run, A-Row,” and featuring DJ S.K.T., Idris shared news of the song’s release with fans via a post on his personal Instagram page in late March.
To date, Elba has released a total of 4 EPs and one full-length album as both a DJ and lyricist. His music catalog includes an EP for the film, Mandela, and a character album for the hit BBC drama series, Luther, both of which he starred in.
