Get ready for an afternoon of festivities and fellowship as we bring the 2022 Road to ESSENCE Festival of Culture Tour to the Nate Holden Performing Arts Center on Saturday, June 4th from 12PM to This is the first stop of our 3-city tour on our way to New Orleans, so prepare to show out!
Hosted by actor & photographer Lance Gross, with vibes from DJ Dimepiece, this fun, free event will preview some of our signature ESSENCE experiences, including ESSENCE Eats Food & Wine Festival™, ESSENCE Wellness House™, and ESSENCE Wealth & Power™ featuring Global Black Economic Conversations, the ESSENCE Fest Evening Concert Series and more!
We'll be spotlighting a few amazing local Black-owned businesses like Canvas Malibu, Par Bronte Laurent and Crowns and Hops, plus, JackFruit Cafe owner and Chef Angela Means will put your taste buds to the ultimate test. We'll also check-in with Dr. Valerie Green-Amos for a candid conversation about social media, mental health & Hollywood, and hear from the Neighborhood Nip Foundation, Dreamer's Youth Organization, Russell Westbrook's Why Not? Organization and the Unsung Heroes Organization about the impactful work they're doing in the local community and how you can support.
Later in the afternoon, songstress and rapper Inayah will light up the stage and R&B crooner Davion will serenade us with a performance you won't want to miss. Plus, special guests, amazing giveaways and so much more!
