Atlanta native Ciara, who’s been dubbed the “Princess of Crunk & B,” is excited about the release of her third album, “Fantasy Ride.”
“I try a lot of different musical styles on this album,” says Ciara. “I hope that everyone will enjoy this.”
Ciara says that, as an entertainer, comparisons to artists such as Beyoncé come with the territory.
“It’s entertaining to make artist comparisons. For instance, when I did the song ‘Like a Boy,’ they accused Beyoncé of following me with her song ‘If I Were a Boy,’ says the singer. “So let me say that I think B is dope, but the comparisons to her are funny to me and I have to laugh.”

ATL homegirl Monica shows Ciara some love at the star’s album-release party. Monica, who is gearing up for her own reality show on BET, made a guest appearance in Ciara’s video for her debut single, “Goodies.”
Ciara celebrates the release of her new album with a party in her hometown of Atlanta. Life has been somewhat of a dream for the Georgia Peach.
“Although I’ve always seen big things for my life, I still say, Wow, this is really happening; I’m on my third album,” says Ciara. “It’s truly a blessing to get a chance to be performer and do that all over the world and to win a Grammy, a true fantasy.”
Ciara, known for her towering height and kinetic dance moves, struts her stuff in New York City.
Ciara works a space-age look as she arrives at the BBC Radio One studios in London on April 23.
Ciara makes her way inside the Hotel de Sers on April 20, in Paris, France. She’s been making the international rounds promoting “Fantasy Ride.”

A gorgeous Ciara gives the camera her best shot at recent event. The star was recently named one of People magazine’s 100 Most Beautiful and commented on rumors regarding her sexuality.
“I know I don’t look like a man, never did and never will. I don’t feel I need any validation,” she says. “The rumors and comments are all for entertainment so I never looked to anyone for validation.”
Ciara, seen here strutting her stuff at the “Notorious” premiere earlier this year in New York, says she plans to make big moves in her career.
“I hope to one day be an icon and that can’t be rushed. I admire people like Diddy and Oprah, so I plan to get my P-Oprah on and be a legend—one of the best entertainers of all time,” she says.
