“I love that my future husband is sexy, intelligent and a man of God,” says excited bride Ashley. “He’s the total package!”
When it came to who said “I love you” first, Ashley admits it was all her. “There’s a first time for everything,” she exclaims. “That’s never happened before in my past relationships.”
“The thing I love most about Ashley is her personality. We have so much fun together,” says the future groom, Phillip. “I can remember many times where we hang out and don’t even cut on the television. We just sit, talk, laugh and enjoy just being around each other for hours at a time.”
Phillip says tons of things that made him fall in love with Ashley. “Well for starters, she is stunningly beautiful,” he tells us. “But aside from her beauty, her selflessness and desire to see me happy makes me love her even more.”
“I didn’t know immediately, but after only a few minutes of talking to her, I was certainly hoping she would be the one,” says Phillip.
Phillip is Ashley’s knight in shining armour. “One night I wasn’t feeling well and before Phillip left my apartment he asked if I wanted him to run to the store and pick up some medicine and soup. I declined and sent him on his way. Later on around 4a.m. I woke up in excruciating pain. I called Phillip and woke him up begging for medicine. He got out of bed and drove across town to bring me medicine in the middle of the night.”
“I look forward to us growing together and building an empire together once we are married,” says the groom-to-be. “We are both business-minded and goal-oriented, so the sky is the limit.”
“I was extremely nervous about proposing. Not because of who I was proposing to, but just about doing the act of proposing itself,” says Phillip. “I smile when I think about spending the rest of my life with Ashley. I just got nervous when I thought about if I’d be able to keep her smiling for the rest of her life.”
“Phillip bought a round brilliant cut diamond that sits in a high, cushion halo setting for me,” says Ashley about her most precious gift. “We looked at a few different styles but he picked the final product out himself.” Good job, Phillip!
Playing hard to get was one way Ashley snagged her new boo. “We exchanged numbers ,but I didn’t agree to a first date until almost a year later,” she says. “I guess I was worth the wait!”
“I hope to be a fun loving, blushing bride,” says Ashley when asked about how she’ll feel on her upcoming wedding. “Everyone says to not stress the details and live in the moment. I’m going to try my best and do just that on the day of the wedding!”
“When we’re (finally!) husband and wife, I can’t wait to travel the world together,” says the joyful bride-to-be.
“If I could thank her parents for anything I would thank them for raising such a well rounded, down to Earth, fun-loving, respectful, God fearing woman,” says Phillip. We hear that!
“I’d describe the wedding theme as sophisticated chic,” says Ashley about their October wedding. “It’s going to be romantic and whimsical all at once. Our wedding colors are plum and slate gray with accents of fuchsia. It’s going to be stunning against the fall backdrop.”
“When I look into her eyes for the first time on our wedding day I hope to see our forever,” says Phillip of his upcoming big moment at the altar. “And if it doesn’t bring a tear or two out of my eye, I’m sure it will bring a permanent smile to my face.” Congrats!
