The 65th Annual Grammy Awards lived up to its reputation as the biggest night in mainstream music, handing out historic awards and honors to the brightest stars in music entertainment.
Black women broke records during the evening, with Viola Davis becoming the third Black woman to earn her EGOT with her big win and Beyoncé officially becoming the most-awarded Grammy artist in the honor’s history, with three big wins over the course of the evening.
Paired with big performances, including a tribute to the 50th anniversary of Hip-Hop music, it was a night in entertainment that won’t soon be forgotten. Take a look at some of the biggest moments of the night below.
Viola Davis Earns Her EGOT
The actress became an EGOT upon winning the Grammy for Best Audio Book during the Grammy premiere ceremony, and took a moment to relish in the honor on the main stage while presenting an award.

Beyonce Ties Record for Most Grammy Wins of All Time
Beyonce hit her first milestone of the evening – but was stuck in traffic when it was time to give her acceptance speech! The-Dream and Nile Rodgers accepted the award for Best R&B Song for “Cuff It,” at the moment. However, once she finally made it on the scene, Trevor Noah took a moment to make sure she had the opportunity to hold her latest trophy in her hand.

Lizzo Hits The Stage with ‘Special’
One of the most nominated artists of the evening, Lizzo took a moment to belt out one of her biggest self-love anthems with choir accompaniment, showing the audience just why she’s so nominated.

Kendrick Lamar Wins Best Rap Album
The Hip-Hop heavy hitter took home yet another trophy, this time solidifying his opus Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers as the best rap release of 2022.

Quavo Honors Takeoff’s Memory with Maverick City Music
