…And just like that, February is here.
Netflix continues to put out plenty of new content every few weeks, and this month is no different. During the next 30 days, subscribers can look forward to some amazing performances from this generation’s greatest actors, along with several films that have become staples in Black culture in the years after their release.
On February 1, the original Bad Boys – along with its 2003 sequel – will be available for viewing. Starring Martin Lawrence and Will Smith, this buddy cop comedy is the perfect balance of action and laugh. This month, Smith can again be seen in The Pursuit of Happyness alongside his son, Jaden. Tyler Perry also put his mark on Netflix’s lineup with two of his films, I Can Do Bad All By Myself and Daddy’s Little Girls, hitting the platform.
To celebrate Black History Month, Netflix will release an original documentary titled Bill Russell: Legend, which will celebrate the life and legacy of the late Bill Russell, who passed last year at the grand age of 88. There’s a huge dose of new content available in February, so get you microwaveable popcorn ready.
