We’re days away from the biggest holiday of the year, when people remember how good it feels to give.
If you’re scratching your head wondering what to purchase that new mom, just know that a day off is probably what’s she’s most looking forward to.
Still, if you can’t leave that new mom alone (and offer to babysit her baby too!) then these gifts will help her feel more relaxed, solve a problem most new moms face and make her life just a bit easier.
Let’s dive right in. Here are eight must-haves that most moms need that would make for the perfect gift under the tree.
01
Memobottle
Thirsty? We can absolutely bet that mom is, especially if she’s breastfeeding. This reusable Memobottle makes hydrating super easy. What makes this water bottle different is that it’s flat, so it’ll fit in any diaper bag or work bag as mom is rushing from door to door. The BPA- and BPS-free bottle, can hold a little more than 12 ounces. And the best part is when you buy a bottle, you’re helping someone in need receive two months’ access to clean water thanks to their partnership with Water.org.
02
True&Co’s V Neck
Whether your new mom is breastfeeding or not, it’s likely that she’ll need new bras. Postpartum, your boobs undoubtedly get bigger and they’re super sensitive too! True&Co’s bras are soft, wire-free (perfect for breastfeeding) and are totally breathable.
03
Dove Intensive-Cream Nourishing Care
What is it about postpartum that makes you extremely dehydrated? And with winter here, mom’s skin is probably crying out for moisture. We’ve tried dozens of lotions and creams and none moisturizes like Dove’s Intensive-Cream Nourishing Care. It’s perfect for spot treatments or moisturizing your hands after washing bottles, and pacifiers and breastfeeding flanges.
04
7 AM Enfant’s K Poncho
With a new baby, mom is likely very anxious about taking her bambino outside in these winter temperatures. But she’s got to live, right? 7 AM’s K-Poncho will make leaving with her mini me easier. It comes in one size and features a plush lining and hood, keeping baby warm no matter how cold it gets. It also has hand slips so mom doesn’t have to be cold when carrying her little one. The best part is that it’s water repellent (sorry drool!) and machine washable.
05
KEURIG’s KMini Plus
Nothing soothes, excites and reaffirms a new mom like a cup of coffee. Let’s face it, sleepless nights are gone. (What’s that?) And coffee is perfect for rejuvenating a sleep-deprived mum. KEURIG’s KMini won’t take up too much counter space, as it’s less than five inces wide, and can give mom anywhere from 6 to 12 ounces of joe. It also has a “Strong Brew” option, which we love, for an extra kick.
06
Milkflow Fenugreek + Blessed Thistle Powder Drink Mix
If the new mom in your life is breastfeeding then she’ll likely turn to a supplement now and then to keep her milk flow steady. Between going back to work and baby sleeping longer in the evenings, supplements help make sure mom’s milk supply doesn’t go anywhere. After trying many different kinds, our favorite is Milkflow Fenugreek + Blessed Thistle Powder Drink Mix in Berry. Unlike teas, this tastes sweet; like juice. It also works within 24 hours to boost your milk supply, if you’ve noticed a dip or you just want to increase supply when you’re pumping. (Another product we’re eyeing is their new coffee pods, containing the same milk-boosting ingredients.)
07
AWAY’s Everywhere Bag
Mom has never needed a great bag more in her life than when she’s had a new baby. When mom is traveling, however, she’s likely to go with tons more stuff and will need to consolidate. That’s why AWAY’s new Everywhere Bag is perfect for her. With so many compartments, even one for a small umbrella, she can take what she needs along with what baby wants. It also fits perfectly atop any type of luggage. Whether she grabs the nylon version, which is water resistant, or the leather version, she’ll be set.

Thinx’s Hip Hugger
Let’s get real, mom: When your period does return (or if you’ve had a natural birth and you’re still healing) you’re in for a treat. (Smile!) Thinx makes it easy for the mom, who’s on her flow but on the go. Their moisture-wicking, leak-resistant undies come in a variety of styles, but we love the hip hugger. It’s low enough so if mom had a C-section it won’t irritate her incision. It’s also super absorbent and holds up to four regular tampons’ worth. Mom, if you’re past the six-week mark and have been cleared by a doctor to use tampons again, we recommend using ‘pons but having these undies on as a back up, but you can totally go without. It’s a win-win.
