My hair is… a treasured gift from God that everyday reminds me how blessed I am to be a black woman.
I started my journey…the day I was born. Some of my most vivid memories as a child were wash days. Whether my crop has been straight, curly, braided or weaved, this hair journey of mine has really been a life-long thing.
My current regimen consists of… A weekly wash and go, maintained by sleeping on a satin pillowcase in between.
My Favorite products include… Devacurl B-leave In Conditioner, Cantu Shea Butter Curl Activator Cream and Eco Styler Gel…topped off by my essential tool, my blow dryer diffuser.
My biggest challenge is…Maintaining my natural curls while on extended vacations. No one wants to bring their whole bathroom cupboard worth of products/tools with them while traveling.
The secret to having healthy hair is…Ensuring your hair has the moisture it needs to thrive, whether it’s curly, straight or somewhere in between.
I love my hair because… It’s my crowning glory. It’s my most important outlet for self-expression.
My hair crush is… Self-hair love is key for any successful, sustainable natural hair journey. So while there are plenty of women whose hair I adore, really, my hair crush is myself.
