Move over Keke, there’s a new challenge in town and it’s encouraging young Black girls to love their natural hair.
Created by 9-year-old Gigi, the 90-Day Hair Challenge strives to promote healthy hair practices and care, all while encouraging youngins to love their strands no matter length, color, or texture.
Gigi, daughter of Natural Bunch Kids Hair Care founder Betty Ceus, wants to help restore the confidence in young women struggling from damaged hair, thinning hair, and overall hair loss to still feel bold and beautiful.
The sweet-spirited girl has been very hands-on with her mother’s products and haircare line, having helped create packaging, marketing, and even naming the products. It came as no surprise when Gigi spoke up and wanted to do more with the brand to help reach young girls.
The challenge encourages the use of the Natural Bunch Kids Hair Care Products, and encourages participants to not only show how they incorporate the products into their routine, but to also talk about the steps they’re taking to love and embrace their hair.
Aside from the positivity (and the possibility of having your video go viral), the challenge comes with another perk: $3000 in prizes. From a $500 back to school shopping spree to a spotlight in a national Natural Bunch Kids Marketing Campaign, the campaign is full of positive and enriching perks.
It’s a beautiful thing to see young girls such as Gigi use their platform and use social media to make a conscious and impactful change in their community.
