Dry, rough ends are my pet peeve and I’m certain I’m not the only one who feels this way! Ultimately, dry ends are the culprit to breakage, splits and thinning end. Over the years, I’ve incorporated baggying, a unique trick to help restore dehydrated ends, into my regimen.
Baggying is simple: apply a moisturizer to your hair and then put on a plastic sandwich bag or plastic shower cap over your head for 2-3 hour (or even overnight) to lock in moisture and promote growth.

I typically like to baggy my buns to re-hydrate my ends at the end of a long day and it has helped me to retain a lot of length. If I’m at home in the day, I’ll throw a baggy over my hair and within a few hours I can feel my hair getting moist without having to re-apply a moisturizer. The plastic bag traps heat helping to re-activate the moisturizer. The trick is to use a small amount of your favorite moisturizer, seal with a natural oil, then put your baggy over your hair or ponytail. Your ends will thank you!
Do you have any tricks or tips that help to keep your ends hydrated and in tiptop shape?
