Regardless of the season, top knots are always a great go-to hair style. It’s super easy, fun and very rarely can you mess it up. Recently Zoe Kravitz was spotted at the New York premiere of The Divergent Series: Allegiant, and she rocked a sky-high topknot unlike any other.
“I didn’t measure it, but if I had to guess I’d say 6 inches easy,” Nelms told PeopleStyle in a recent interview. “It took no more than 30 minutes [to create],” she said, “maybe even 15.”

Hairstylist Nikki Nelms helped Zoe create the gravity-defying style that turned many heads at the fete. Nelms also explained the look was very inspired by Kravitz’s Valentino leather fishnet dress. “During the fitting, [Kravitz’s] hair was pinned up in a loose topknot, which had a cool look to in relation to the total look, so we decided to do a sleeker, tighter version,” Nelms also said during the interview.
