01
Kiwi-Pineapple Smoothie
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup fresh pineapple chunks
1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
1/2 teaspoon ginger puree
2 teaspoons chia seeds
1 cup ice
1 cup water
2 kiwis
3 cubes frozen spinach
DIRECTIONS:
Add the pineapple, turmeric, ginger and chia seeds to a high-powered blender, along with around two thirds of the ice. Add a dash of water, and blend until smooth. You can adjust the consistency by adding more water, if you prefer. Pour the pineapple smoothie into two glasses, and set aside. Rinse the blender (no need to wash it thoroughly), and add the remaining ice, peeled kiwis, frozen spinach and another dash of water. Blend until smooth. Again, you can adjust the consistency with more water, and you can also add a dollop of honey or agave if the smoothie isn’t quite sweet enough for your taste. Pour the kiwi smoothie over the pineapple smoothie, and use a spoon or straw to gently swirl the two colors together. Serve immediately. via Brit+Co

Cranberry Mango Layered Smoothie
INGREDIENTS:
GREEN LAYER:
2 handfuls of spinach
1.5 cups frozen mango
1/2 cup almond milk
a splash of orange juice
RED LAYER:
3/4 cup cranberries
1/2-3/4 cup frozen raspberries or frozen strawberries
1/4 cup almond milk
1/4 cup orange juice
sweeten if desired with honey, agave, etc.
DIRECTIONS:
First, blend your green smoothie using your favorite blender.
Pour into a glass (or two small cups) and place in the freezer.
Give your blender a quick rinse, then blend the cranberry layer.
For a perfect, clean line between the two layers, you’ll want to also pop this one in the freezer, but in a separate glass.
Freeze for about 10 minutes then use a spoon to gently transfer the cranberry smoothie on top of the green smoothie so your layers are perfectly even.
