Harlem’s culinary scene is being celebrated loud and in color thanks to Harlem EatUp! It’s fifth annual celebration brought out the best chef’s in the borough along with celebrities like Bevy Smith, Dapper Dan and famed restauranteur Melba Wilson.
Founded by award-winning chef and TV personality Marcus Samuelsson, Harlem EatUp is a week-long celebration of food, culture, art and community in this historic neighborhood. Famous and nationally acclaimed chefs show face with the goal of empowering local organizations like Citymeals on Wheels, which serves up food to nearly 20,000 elderly and seriously ill New Yorkers every year.
The multi-event series kicked off with a Dine In dinner at Ginny’s Supper Club in Harlem.
The series will conclude with an The Ultimate Grand Tasting at the Harlem Stroll, where participants will have unlimited access to food tastings and samples of wines, beers and cocktails. Tickets are still available for the remaining Harlem EatUp events, but move fast!
