Baby makes three for Nick Cannon!
The media mogul welcomed his third child into the world on Tuesday. Cannon made the announcement on Instagram sharing his son’s unique name and making a sweet declaration about what the newborn’s life means.
“Weeping may endure for a night, but Joy cometh in the morning!,” he wrote in the caption. “No matter how hard the world may hit you, God always reminds us of our purpose! #TrueHappiness Welcome to Earth Son! Golden “Sagon” Cannon 2/21/17 #Awakened.”
Cannon announced that he and former Miss Arizona USA Brittany Bell were expecting a child together in November and clarified that their bundle of joy was far from a mistake.

“I wanted to make sure it was someone who was solid, spiritual and had the same views,” he told Power 106 in an interview. “She’s been in my life. Our families grew up in the same projects together in San Diego. So there’s a lot of substance there. Never an ‘oops baby.’ I’m so calculated with my moves…I’ve always wanted five kids,” he said, adding, “Just because my marriage was over didn’t mean I couldn’t continue my family.”
Baby Golden joins Cannon’s children, twins Moroccan and Monroe, with his ex-wife Mariah Carey.
“They’re super excited,” the proud father added.
