Lori Harvey, 26, and Damson Idris, 31, made their relationship public in January and the internet hasn’t stopped talking since. People have something new to discuss as the handsome couple made their first red carpet appearance at the Season 6 premiere of the FX series Snowfall in Los Angeles. This will be Idris’s last time playing Franklin Saint as Season 6 is the final one of the series created by the late John Singleton.
The two are pictured on the red carpet wearing all black and embracing one another. Harvey wore a black gown with pinned curls and Idris wore a black suit. In another red carpet photo, he is seen kissing Harvey on the forehead while they embraced.
As mentioned, the young couple went Instagram public in January, when Idris wished her a happy birthday. He posted a picture on his Instagram story kissing Harvey on the cheek, alongside a message that said, “Happy birthday Nunu.”
Most recently, the model and actor enjoyed Valentine’s Day together with a candlelit dinner. They were cuddled up and locking lips at the dinner table. They were also all smiles at Harvey’s 26th birthday celebration, as he was her plus one for the night.
Harvey, who was recently the cover girl of our very own January/February issue of ESSENCE, said this season was all about loving on her (before going public with her new famous beau).
“Put yourself first,” Harvey said. “Love yourself. Put yourself on the highest pedestal, and don’t ever come down.”
When asked about what Black loved looked like to her, the entrepreneur reflected on her past experiences with love.
“My experience has taught me that I need somebody who respects me—somebody who understands and respects my standards and my boundaries and is a supportive, God-fearing man, family-oriented, and makes me feel at peace,” she said. “That’s where I’m at in my life right now. I’m not compromising my peace and happiness for anything or anybody. And so if I see any signs of that happening, I’m like, ‘Got to go!’”
She previously dated Michael B. Jordan. They had a very public relationship. The couple quietly broke up in the summer of 2022 after over a year together. This will be the first woman that Idris has openly dated since he rose to fame. There were once rumors that he was dating rapper Saweetie, but the claims were never verified.
