Remember that iconic photo of Louis Armstrong playing the trumpet for his wife, Lucille, in front of the Great Sphinx in Giza, Egypt back in 1961? Or our beloved Nina Simone photographed on a beach in Lagos, Nigeria one day and another, strolling the streets of Paris, France, looking confident and fly.
However, with the rise of social media and Black travel communities, we are actually seeing our people jet-setting more than we ever have. We’re taking pride in showing off our adventures and stamp-filled passports, and want the world to know – we outchea!
