THE VIEWS
After landing in Montego Bay, the resort scoops you up for a scenic ride to Ochos Rios where you are handed a mimosa before you even step foot in the hotel. And when you do enter the view is breathtaking as a floor to high ceiling windows display nature’s uncomparable beauty with the beach at sunset. The resort earns every star with sleek and insta-worthy décor throughout the property and chandeliers along the way to more than 700 guestrooms and suites, and 11 restaurants and bars. The Piano Bar is a must if you want to feel like an old-Hollywood star for the night.
THE FOOD AND FUN
Every woman deserves to eat jerk chicken, rice and peas on the beach with a frozen Bob Marley drink nearby. The all-inclusive resort takes its food serious with a lavish buffet and restaurants from steak to sushi. Much of our dining during the day was done on the beach and by the pool. And whatever a good time looks like for you, it’s available. There are water sports including a FlowRider double-wave simulator to get your surf on and we got to tour the dolphin habitat and see dolphin Ziggy in action. If you are looking for something more relaxing, the resort has Jamaica’s largest spa and offers premium services. Activist and change agent Tamika Mallory shared the realities of changing the world and what it took to organize the Women’s March that had more attendees than the Presidential Inauguration. Author and Single Wives Club founder Koereyelle DuBose gave a sneak peek of her upcoming Werk Pray Slay weekend for women. And I gave a speech for the first time while inside a pool. One of the best perks was you don’t have to leave the resort for a sexy night out, as the property’s chic NOIR nightclub gives you Vegas vibes with a hip hop/trap/throwback/reggae mix that gets you out your cute seat. Your feet will thank you for the short commute. The resort brings out guests ready for a good time. At the club and swim up bar in the pool our crew met so many cool people from all over the country and world.
