It may be best known for its beaches and ruins, but as Skylar Marshai (@skylarmarshai) and her boo recently learned, if you want to keep the fires of your love hot, there’s no better destination to hit than Tulum.

Make it Hot
Located along the Caribbean coastline of Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula, Tulum is a paradise that often feels too good to be true. Powder white sand beaches, turquoise waters, and upscale nightlife are just some of the features the town has to offer. If you’re interested in planning a quick baecay, travel between October and December when the heat and crowds have died down, you’ll appreciate the slower tempo.

Under the Stars
There are so many places to stay when you visit Tulum, but if you’re looking for somewhere that will up the romance factor, book a room at Ikal Tulum Hotel. The beachfront property is not only affordable, but the jungle decor will have you feeling like you’re miles away from home. Reserve a spot right on the beach so you and bae can get cozy as the waves crash, the sun sets, and the stars shine on your love.

One IG-worthy moment Tulum is known for is their treetop nests and canopies. Kin Toh restaurant and the luxe Azulik Hotel, offer private nests for dining in the trees while overlooking the Mayan jungle. Dinner can run upward of $100 per person, so if you want to skip the meal and solely do it for the ‘gram, arrive just before they open at 5:30pm, strike a pose, then enjoy a nice sunset cocktail at the bar.

Just Hang
After a full day of exploring Mayan ruins and hidden cenotes, you and bae will need somewhere magical to unwind. Head over to Casa Malca and hang on their IG-famous swing or dine at one of their delicious restaurants and spend the night getting lost together in the magic of Tulum.
