Insecure star DomiNque Perry is glowing. Earlier this week, the actor and dancer announced her pregnancy with a fabulous rooftop photoshoot, and now she’s sharing a few more details about her bundle of joy.
Perry, who had people signing up for #TeamTasha during her stint on the hit HBO series, said she wasn’t planning on having a baby right now, but she’s happy about it.
“You weren’t in my plans but you were in Gods plans, and for that it’s insane how much I love you,” she wrote on Instagram.
The Houston native kept her pregnancy under wraps for most of her journey. According to her interview with Page Six, she’s due on May 19, and Perry is looking forward to enjoying every single moment of motherhood.
“Just to have her around lots of love, family, and friends and by my side for as many occasions as possible…,” she said. “I’m a first-time mom so as of right now I have no plans since everything will be so very new and exciting to me, but I definitely am going to just enjoy the ride of motherhood!”
While she’s going to bask in her new role, Perry isn’t giving up her career. She’s got several projects in the works, including the films Perfectly Single and Complx, as well as an upcoming appearance on John Singleton’s critically-acclaimed drama, Snowfall.
But right now, Perry’s focused on being a great role model for her daughter.
“[I will] try to learn from my experiences with my daughter and strive to be the best mother I can be for her as well as making her proud by achieving all goals in my career,” she said.
