Their location is lit. Located in the Dumbo section of the borough on Brooklyn Bridge Park, 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge is the in the center of it all. You and your dog can spend the day running in the park before grabbing a quick bite at Luke’s Lobster, Shake Shack, Grimaldi’s Pizzeria or any of the other cafes and restaurants literally steps from the hotel’s front door (most have outdoor seating so your dog can dine too). Go shopping at trendy boutiques that line the cobble stoned streets in the area before picking a spot to sit and watch the Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan skyline light up together just as the sun sets. That’s why the rooftop at 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge is the perfect escape. It’s a two feet only zone boasting expansive views of the Manhattan skyline, a plunge pool and lounge space to relax with a crafted cocktail and eats while you vibe out to the awesome DJ. Got a few friends in the area? Invite them to join you since the rooftop opens to the public in the afternoons.
They care about you, your dog and the environment The days there are many hotels calling themselves eco-friendly, sporting seals and certificates as proof. Fifty-four percent of the materials used in the build of the hotel were reclaimed or acquired from regional, sustainable sources and the property as a whole also uses 100 percent wind power energy. It’s literally green, starting with the 25ft “green wall” in the lobby that’s covered in hand-placed plants and creeping vines. Each room and suite has a living moss and miniature green garden, plush hemp-blend mattresses by Keetsa wrapped in 100% organic sheets, a tap which pours triple clear filtered water and 5-minute hourglass timers in the showers to remind guests to conserve water. Yoga mats can be found in your room, as well as on demand meditation programs and a fitness center. Neighbors’ Café makes fresh juices and healthy treats daily for both you and your dog. There’s even a lobby farmstand offering free fresh fruits, nuts, granola and more to guests and locals, as well as an area where anyone can pick flowers, plants and herbs to create their own green space.
