From the first Kimpton in Thailand to Central Jersey’s newest premier hotel, here’s a look at some of the buzziest hotel openings from around the world.

Four Seasons Tamarindo (Tenacatita Bay, Mexico)
Four Seasons Tamarindo is set to open in 2020 on the Costalegre, which is known for its beautiful beaches and harbors. The hotel will be comprised of 160 rooms and golf course located beachfront along the coast. Its location is a 45-minute drive south of Careyes in the southern part of Tenacatita Bay.

Pousada do Porto (Porto, Portugal)
Pousada do Porto is set to open its doors in the heart of Rua da Flores, the liveliest street in Porto. Known for its stately bridges and port wine production, Porto resides along the coast in northwest Portugal. Its location gives those visiting easy accessibility to explore the city on foot. The hotel will open in September of 2020, in a recovered historical building, featuring eighty-seven rooms. Travelers can enjoy moments of relaxation at the terrace bar that allows them to take in the breathtaking surrounding landscapes, while they sip on a glass of Douro wine or visit the hotel’s restaurant for a taste of traditional Mediterranean cuisine.

Conrad Punta de Mita (Riviera Nayarit, Mexico)
Coming to Mexico’s Riviera Nayarit in early 2020 is Conrad Punta de Mita — a stylish beachfront resort that will offer travelers a tranquil respite among the area’s serene natural landscapes, aquamarine waters and uninhabited isles. All 324 guest rooms and suites will boast views of the Pacific Ocean. Amenities will include three pools; four restaurants with menus and spaces that pay tribute to age-old techniques and flavors of the local culture — among them, an intimate mescal and tequila barrel tasting room; an indoor/outdoor spa with seven cocoon treatment cabanas among the vegetation; a game room; and 54,000 square feet of event space.

Somerset Hills Hotel (Warren, N.J)
The premier hotel of Central Jersey is set to be nestled in the historic town of Warren, N.J. Originally built in 1987, the Somerset Hills Hotel is a 118-room community staple is newly renovated and reimagined, capturing both the beauty and rich history of Somerset County. Also known as an exquisite weddings and corporate groups venue, the property offers more than 5,100 square feet of spectacular indoor meeting and event space, in addition to a beautiful and expansive outdoor venue. The hotel’s TAP Restaurant and Bar, a chef-driven European-style gastropub, offers guests and locals delicious cuisine and sample a selection of locally curated cocktails, as well as 20 perfectly chilled craft beers on tap.

The Wayfarer DTLA (Los Angeles, CA)
Opening this month, The Wayfarer DTLA, is set to become DTLA’s newest (and only) high-design, community-focused boutique hotel. The Wayfarer DTLA will create intimate experiences by encouraging guest-to-guest hosting through diverse accommodations (including a handful of stylishly designed shared rooms); a communal kitchen and social dining and entertainment outlets. Designed with today’s traveler in mind, The Wayfarer DTLA will feature 156 guest rooms and suites, plus a variety of socially-driven and distinctive dining and entertainment experiences to Downtown L.A.’s vibrant culinary landscape.

The Lytle Park Hotel (Cincinnati, OH)
Opening March 2020 in downtown Cincinnati, The Lytle Park Hotel, part of Autograph Collection, is an imaginative collaboration between two historic buildings and the celebrated Lytle Park just outside its doors. Destined to become the finest hotel in Cincinnati, the luxury property will feature 106 oversized guestrooms, a central wine and cocktail bar, a fine dining Italian restaurant and lounge, and Cincinnati’s only four-season rooftop bar and event space offering views of Lytle Park, downtown Cincinnati and the Ohio River.

The Westin Anaheim Resort (Anaheim, CA)
Across from DISNEYLAND® Resort and adjacent to the Anaheim Convention Center, the Westin Anaheim Resort will not only be a place for convention goers but also a stunning retreat for vacationers. As the first Kimpton hotel in Thailand, the Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok is set to make its mark on the city. Boasting 349 guestrooms, including 124 serviced residences (with access to the Executive Club), the hotel will also feature two restaurants, a swimming pool, gym and spa, seven meeting and event spaces. Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok is also centrally located in the heart of Langsuan area and near Lumpini, one of the largest public parks in the city.

Grand Universe Lucca (Lucca, Tuscany, Italy)
The medieval city walls that surround Lucca, Italy, are welcoming its first full-service luxury hotel in the summer of 2020 when the Grand Universe Lucca, Autograph Collection, opens in the heart of its historic old town. Directly adjacent to and overlooking the Piazza Napoleone — a cultural hub and gathering place for artists and some of the globe’s biggest names in music — the former 16th century palazzo will debut a masterfully renovated design and arts, music and culture-focused concept that is beautifully evocative of the city’s past.

Located in Barcelona’s vibrant Gothic Quarter, the Kimpton Vividora Hotel will mark Kimpton’s first hotel in Spain.Designed by Kimpton’s design team in partnership with local design agency, El Equipo Creativo, this hotel will feature 156 guestrooms, and three unique F&B outlets: Fauna restaurant, Café Got and Terraza de Vivi (rooftop bar).
