Attention, attention, there are exactly 74 more days until Black and African excellence combine like Voltron in Ghana for the most eclectic social event of the season, Afrochella.
In case you’ve been under a rock, the Afrochella experience is spearheaded by Abdul Karim Abdullah, Kenny Agyapong and Edward Asafu-Adjaye, and is a celebration of Africa’s diverse culture and the vibrant work of African creatives and entrepreneurs. Last year, as Ghana began its ‘Year of Return’ campaign, and celebrities like Boris and Nicole Kodjoe, Bozoma Saint John and Michael Jai White embraced the ancestors at the now annual Full Circle Festival, Afrochella exploded on the scene and had creatives across the diaspora trying to figure out how they could be down in 2019 – including us.
Now, if you haven’t already grabbed your tickets to this year’s Afrochella festival on December 28th, you may be thinking all hope is lost. Wrong! General admission tickets and even a few packages are still available if you’re trying to hang with the cool kids in Ghana this holiday.
In the meantime, check out these photos from last year’s event and get hype as we countdown to our ‘return’ to Ghana and Afrochella. See you there!
