LeToya Luckett’s baby girl isn’t even here yet and she’s already covered in love and Black Girl Magic.
The 37-year-old mom-to-be has been getting showered with love and advice from all her celebrity girlfriends, including the Queen B herself, Beyoncé. Luckett and Beyoncé shared a magical moment recently when the pair reunited backstage in Texas during a stop on Beyoncé and Jay Z’s
On the Run II tour
. According to the
Greenleaf star, Beyoncé went into “straight mommy mode,” gushing over her growing belly and giving advice as the childhood friends looked over sonogram photos and shared in the pregnancy excitement.
“That was such an awesome moment. There was so much joy in that room. She was … she went into straight mommy mode as far like “Oh my god. What’s she doing? Is she doing this, is she doing that? And I was showing them my sonogram pictures and everything. She was just so excited. We’re both very, very happy, and you could feel the love in the room. There wasn’t a lot of people in the room. It felt like it was just us, chatting it up.”
But Bey isn’t the only celeb friend dishing out mommy advice. Friends Tiny Harris, Toya Wright and Monica Brown have been making sure the first time mother has everything she needs and remembers to savor the moments with her bundle of joy.
“Monica, Toya and Tiny, they told me everything that I needed to use. Everything … the right bottles, the right this, the right that, and Monica has been one that has most of the old school advice that still works for her, and I really like that. She’s like girl ‘All my kids stayed in four to six weeks, didn’t go outside, didn’t see the light of day because I wanted to bond with them and connect with them. And I would only leave to go to my doctor’s appointments because you really need that time with the baby.'”
Best friend Eudoxie Bridges, wife of
Fast and Furious star Ludacris, has been by Luckett’s side too, easing the singer’s fears and being a protective momma bear to her bestie and soon-to-be god daughter.
“Eudoxie is god mommy so she’s excited about that. She’s very protective already. She’s always been the one to be like ‘You need to eat and stop worrying. Just elevate your feet, stop worrying about this stuff. It’s gonna be fine, you’ll figure it out.'”
You can follow Luckett and husband Tommicus Walker’s journey through pregnancy, and hear more mommy advice when the couple appear on
T.I. & Tiny: Friends and Family Hustle premiering Monday, October 22 on VH1.
