Marsau and LaTisha Scott
Couples: Marsau Scott and Latisha Scott
Marsau is a commercial general contractor and Latisha is a Commercial Real Estate Developer / Stay at home mom
They’ve been married 12 years and together for 13 and have three children.
What’s the hardest part about working side by side with your spouse? The most difficult part about working alongside each other is setting professional expectations that are not based on personal/relationship experience. Hope and trust are great attributes in a marriage, but in business it’s all about accountability and follow-up.
What’s the best part?
The best part is learning and growing together. It’s having a true partner there who can honestly celebrate the failures and successes. When we began sharing these dreams with each other we were in college, we were kids. Now we can say, “See bae, remember when we said we were gonna be here…wow, look at us now…look at God.”
What’s it like juggling a million-dollar business and raising a family?
It’s like driving a car and reading a map. Really hard to do at the same time, but, if you assign roles, one person can focus on driving and the other can read the map. We are very role oriented. Marsau is usually the driver; not saying Tisha can’t drive, but she’s one helluva map reader.
What has this experience filming taught you about yourselves?
Tisha: Filming has taught me that I truly love being a wife and mom. Also, that I always need to continue self-development.
Marsau: That I really need to work on my delivery. I try to be direct, but it may come across as mean… Yikes.

02
Martell and Melody Holt
Couple: Martell Holt and Melody Holt
Martelll is the CEO, Holt Custom Homes and Melody is the CEO of Holt & Holt Entrepreneurship
They’ve been married for 10 years.
What’s the best part about working side-by-side with your spouse?
The most difficult part is separating our work and home lives. Sometimes one can bleed over to the other, so we have to be mindful of that. The best part is that we get to work with our best friend. Because we both have similar goals for the business, we’re mostly on the same page from day-to-day. That way, when it’s time to make our next decision there’s no hesitation. We’re always ready to go!
What’s it like juggling a million dollar business and raising a family?
We are parents to three children. It can honestly be difficult to find a balance. I think we’ve come to realize there is no real balance, we just have to set a priority each day. Sometimes things come together perfectly. Sometimes they don’t. That’s life and there’s no need to complain. This life allows us to provide for our children in the way that we want and in a way that neither of us experienced as kids.
What’s your secret to growing a successful business?
Our secret is hard work, hard work, and more hard work. When we began this business, we started with lawn care and then moved to property preservation. We started with small jobs but because we put such care into each one, regardless of the amount we were being paid, clients began to trust us with more volume and larger work assignments. We held ourselves to a higher and higher standard and people started to take notice. We were also smart with the money we made. Our success wasn’t overnight, and it wasn’t without sacrifice, regardless of whether it looks that way or not. We tried some things that may not have gone exactly as planned, but we never stopped. So, the secret is that there is no secret. We found our lane and showed up consistently and always in excellence. It paid off!
What’s your definition of success?
Our definition of success is having the freedom and option to do what we want, when we want, on our terms.
What has this experience filming the show taught you?
Filming reminded us that we are strong individually, but stronger as a couple. We realized that although we have the best intentions towards others, that those feelings might not necessarily be reciprocated and that’s okay. We’ve decided that we won’t let outside influences shape our character or the way we feel about those with whom we might cross paths.
What can viewers expect from this season of the show?
Viewers can expect a glimpse into real life. People often wonder whether these shows are scripted (and we can’t speak about what has happened on other shows) but ours is definitely real. We had some amazing highs and disappointing lows, but again, that’s life. Hopefully viewers can see a bit of themselves in us, be inspired, and know that anything they want is worth fighting for.

Maurice Scott and Kimmi Grant
Couple Maurice Scott and Kimberlee “Kimmi” Grant (soon to be Scott)
Maurice is the Owner of Credit 1 USA; a credit repair company, and Juris Doctorate Candidate and Kimberlee is a Registered Nurse by trade; Executive Director of not-for-profit Home Health Agency and practicing Licensed Real Estate Agent.
They’ve Known each other a little over eight years and dated for seven years. They’ve been married for four months
What’s the hardest part about working side by side with your spouse/partner?
Kimmi : Not always being on the same page. We are very different. I am super Type A and meticulous about information and details. He’s much more laid back. HOWEVER, since being in law school, he is becoming more conscientious about, crossing your T’s and dotting your Is – almost annoyingly conscientious!
Maurice: The most challenging thing about working with my partner is our vision. We see things completely different. I’ve been an entrepreneur my whole adult life and I view risk differently than she does. Kimmi is exceptionally organized, detail oriented, and type A. I’m more of a visionary. I don’t usually get caught up in the minutiae of how we will get there; I focus on where we need to be.
What’s the best part?
Kimmi: Seeing a vision come to fruition. Watching an idea born in the wee hours of the morning and working through a plan to organize the vision and come to life is crazy cool! Maurice will tell you, I love when we work a deal together. No matter what it is, I love when we do it together.
Maurice: The best part about working with Kimmi is that she is everything I’m not. Because of her personality, she helps me to see any challenge from a 360 view. I like to be right, and she likes to be right, so we are very diligent when we do our homework. Our work ethic usually produces impressive results without a lot of headaches, and I really trust her judgement. Kimmi’s perception is amazing, she is right more often than me.
Are you two parents?
Yes. Jaylin is our oldest son from Kimmi’s previous relationship. He is away at Troy University right now. And Monster (Maurice Jr.) is our son from Maurice’s previous marriage. He lives with his mom and stays with us during Christmas break and the summer. And there’s Tatyana and D’shayla, Maurice’s bonus daughters also from his previous marriage.
What’s it like juggling a million dollar business and raising a family?
Kimmi: We have done a lot of juggling, but now with Jaylin away and Monster primarily in the summer, we get to focus on work and Maurice in law school. Of course, we still have to “Phone Parent” on a daily basis, helping with homework, book reports and projects still while making sure bills in all the houses get paid.
Maurice: It is difficult juggling everything. I learned early on you will not be successful at everything every day, but you can’t fail at the same thing every day. It’s all about balance and working on what is essential not just what’s urgent. Distance makes raising a family more difficult. My children mean everything to me, they are why I live. I’m grateful that God saw fit to bless me with them and I try to do everything possible to set a good example and support them. A wildly successful business would mean nothing to me if my family suffered because of it; I’ve been dirt poor and still had a wonderful family experience.
What can viewers expect from this season?
Kimmi – Everyone has BIG personalities. Some work and some don’t. But isn’t that life. Well, nothing is different here. The part that is different is that even though we have to touch on each of our personal relationship aspects, the foundation of the show was our desire to give back to the community. We started “The Comeback Group” for the sole purpose of community development in North Huntsville. That’s still our main goal. You get to see the good, bad and the ugly of a group of friends with good intentions try to lead the others to a common goal.
Maurice – Prepare to be entertained! We are real people with real personalities and practical problems. We lay it all out there. If we think it then we usually say it, I don’t know if that’s good or bad yet, but it’s authentic. The viewers will get a chance to see the extreme challenges of working with friends, family, and spouses. The viewers will get a chance to see some big ideas, big concepts, and hefty goals. “The Comeback Group” is an initiative that we want to spark a movement, starting in North Huntsville. Get ready to cry, laugh, cheer, get ticked off, love, and be inspired. Get prepared for Huntsville. Get ready for US!
