The wedding bells have rung for Real Housewives of Potomac star and former beauty queen Candiace Dillard and her love, Chris Bassett, as the two made a trip down the aisle on Saturday.
On Saturday, the day before the reunion special for the Bravo reality TV series, Dillard and Bassett swapped vows in Washington D.C., according to PEOPLE.
The 31-year-old former Miss United Stares and Bassett swapped vows in front of 260 guests, including some of her RHOP cast members who were on hand to send the bride and groom off with well wishes.
Dillard and Bassett met at a restaurant where he was the manager and she was a server and he proposed in May 2017.
During season 3 of RHOP, Dillard’s wedding planning was a big part of her storyline. From her mother’s disapproval of her wedding gown to her father not wanting to foot the bill for her fairytale wedding day, the bride experiences a few hiccups on her road to the altar, but the Mississippi native’s wedding day went off without a hitch.
“Getting married is almost too much of a big deal for Southern women,” she told the magazine. “We’re planning our weddings when we come out of the womb. I had thoughts in my head of what I wanted my wedding to look like when I was like, 12. Being able to plan it now, it’s just a culmination of all of the ideas I had as a little girl.”
Congrats to Candiace and Chris!
