“It felt amazing to be a bride,” said Talisa. “It helped me to draw closer to my partner and celebrate our beautiful union with family and friends. I couldn’t have asked for a better day through all the quirks and perfect moments, I feel like it was exactly how it was suppose to be! My eyes were on him and how incredible he is. I feel like the luckiest woman in the world!”
“We planned the wedding together,” the bride shared. “He was by my side (and on the phone) through every step, creating excellent props and even finalizing details with precision. It went wonderfully and we had very little disagreements. He helped me to create the guest list, select a theme, find decorations, print out many documents. plan lodging and even establish our honeymoon and rehearsal dinner arrangements!”
“I felt overjoyed being a groom,” said Kevin. “I was overwhelmed with emotion and it felt like I was basking in a light all day. I couldn’t’ really dream this scenario. I mean I was getting the chance to make the woman I love happy for the rest of my life. I had tunnel vision from the time she started out the door. I only noticed her for hours after the ceremony and it all went by in an instant but yet I remember all the details. Best day ever.”
“Finding a wedding dress was difficult at first but I know that I wanted to select a dress that I would love and feel comfortable in,” said the bride.
Talisa couldn’t help but gush about her wedding gown: “The dress was tugging at my heart strings and it suited my personality.”

One of Talisa’s favorite photos from she and Kevin’s big day was the moment they prayed together before the wedding. What a sweet shot it was!
“I would describe her as a brilliant loving woman that is a major foodie,” said Kevin of Talisa. “She is cultured, radiant and classy. My everything.”
The bride and groom jumped the broom during their traditional and classic ceremony in front of 90 guests.
The anticipation and excitement on both the bride and her father’s face is simply the best!
“I chose Talisa because of the value she placed on God, family, and well being,” said Kevin of his bride. “Honestly spending so much time getting to know her parents and her getting to know mine helped. She is spiritually grounded and she is all about family and health goals. Her passion for growth and to be the best is what I was all about.”
“I cried,” the groom admitted. “Big time! Actually she accidentally opened the door before she was ready and I cried. People were confused but I just couldn’t help but thinking that I had won it all. It was like winning every major championship at the same time for the first time. It was completely overwhelming joy.”
“My dad walked me down the aisle because he is my first love and protector!,” said the bride.
“I would describe him as strong, determined, responsible, caring and my partner in foodie crime,” said Talisa of Kevin. “He is the epitome of love and fun! Plus kids and all types of animals love his spirit. That makes him one of the most genuine individuals I know!”
“I felt like the happiest girl in the world looking into his eyes at the altar! I felt open and vulnerable in a peaceful way,” the bride beamed. “I would never forget the magical moments that we shared standing at the altar on our wedding day.”
The new Mr. and Mrs. couldn’t help but beam with joy!

“This should be simple answer but it is honestly one of the hardest,” said Kevin of what loves most about Talisa. “It’s difficult to choose because of all the little things. I guess all of these things boil down to how much she cares and thought she puts into making me happy and taking care of me. How she remembers the things I like and dislike and finds new things for me to enjoy. I mean she wanted chicken n’ waffles for our first date! It’s the little quirky things like that. She is unique I treasure it all.”

“No, I did not at all! In fact I hated dating before I met him,” said Talisa of finding true love when she did with Kevin. “I was almost about to try to make an agreement with myself to be comfortable with my single life for a many years to come. When I met him he took my breath away however I know that true love would take time to grow. I didn’t want to base our growth on infatuation and he was my proof that true love would happen in my life…sooner than expected!”
We are so in love with Talisa and her bridesmaids rocking their natural hair on the big day!
The bride’s little flower girls came to slay on her big day and we aren’t mad at it!
“We chose a butter rum cake with buttercream frosting,” said the bride and groom. “Our cake topping was coconut cake with vanilla butter cream frosting. We chose a white cake with beautiful gold accents to stick to the color palette.”
For the first time as husband and wife, Kevin and Talisa danced together to “The Closer I Get To You” by Roberta Flack and Donny Hathaway.
“We had a main sweetheart table with gold sequins and white along with floating candles with a main flower arrangement of orchids, white hydrangeas with blush and fuchsia roses. Each table had low and high floral arrangements with mirrored bases and votive candles to illuminate the places settings with gold chargers. We included amber uplighting throughout the venue to set the mood and one wall of white draping from Drapeworks. The décor focus was for it to be light and airy with a romantic feel.”
“There wasn’t one defining moment but rather a series of God sent revelations that helped me decide that he was the one,” said Talisa of knowing that Kevin was the man of her dreams. “I saw that he crossed off many of the requirements that I knew God wanted for me it have in a help meet and love partner head of the household. I knew that my “One” would not cause me to question my values and desire to wait until marriage but only further our journey to be great people in the eyes of our Lord. He helps me feel save and secure plus allows me to be my quirky self at all times!”
