Today’s a special day in the world of Black love. October 3rd marks 26 years of wedded bliss for our forever POTUS and FLOTUS, Barack and Michelle Obama. As they do each year, Barack and Michelle shared messages of love on Twitter to commemorate the occasion. Barack kicked it off with a special thank you to his favorite girl. “Happy Anniversary, @MichelleObama. For 26 years, you’ve been an extraordinary partner, someone who can always make me laugh, and my favorite person to see the world with.” The message included a serene photo of Michelle up in the clouds, showcasing the simple beauty that captured the former president’s heart 26 years ago. Mrs. Obama returned the love, thanking her husband for always being a treasure to her and daughters, Sasha and Malia. “Thank you @barackobama for 26+ years of love, trust, and respect – for being a man who always lifts up and honors me and our wonderful girls.
