Cardi B and Offset threw an extravagant first party for their daughter Kulture’s 1st birthday party. Despite there being a massive blackout in New York City that temporarily interrupted Midtown Manhattan’s electricity, the superstar parents still ensured that the festivities were still as lit as could be.
The parents turned the NYC venue into an explosion of color, inspired by Kulture’s favorite cartoon Word Party. The dessert table displayed an assortment of colorful candies and treats for the guests. Cardi and Kulture looked adorable in custom multicolored mommy-and-me outfits designed by Jeremy Scott (who is also the creator of Cardi’s memorable Met Gala looks.)
Now, many parents know that a baby’s first birthday party can be hit or miss if the child is sleepy, feeling under the weather or is just temporarily cranky. This was not the case for baby Kulture, who seemingly had a grand old time, devouring cake and partying it up with her older siblings.
The crowd sang Happy Birthday as Kulture was served her very own smash cake to get all messy with.
The entire family hit the dance floor as the DJ kept the hits coming.
Did you think Cardi and Offset weren’t going to get some adult time in on the dance floor? Think again.
After the party wrapped, Cardi hopped on Instagram to thank the family and friends that showed up to celebrate her baby girl. She also revealed that despite the outages, the party ended up being a blast. “The lights came completely back on, but then they came right back off when I was about to cut the cake,” she says. “And then they cut the lights back on and nobody wanted to leave! And it’s ‘cause of y’all, and it was such a fun party, thank you so much.”
Happy Birthday baby Kulture!
