Chance the Rapper will soon be “Chance the husband” after the three-time Grammy Award winner has proposed to his longtime love, Kirsten Corley on Wednesday.
The 2017 ESSENCE Fest performer got down on one knee on the Fourth of July to ask for Corley’s hand in marriage. After she accepted, the Chicago native took to Twitter to share the good news. “She said yes,” he tweeted.
Chance’s brother and fellow rapper, Taylor Bennett, took to Instagram soon after his sibling proposed to share his excitement.
The 25-year-old, born Chancellor Bennett, and Corley began dating in 2013 and welcomed their adorable daughter Kensli, in September 2015.
In May, the rapper dedicated a sweet Instagram post to Corley for her birthday, saying she was “responsible for every one of the most wonderful things in my life.”
On Chance’s history-making Grammy-award winning project, Coloring Book, he rapped, “trynna turn my baby mama to my fiancé,” and it looks like he’s done just that.
