Congrats are in order for Chance The Rapper (real name Chancelor Bennett), who tied the knot with his childhood sweetheart Kirsten Corley over the weekend!
The rapper and his new bride looked straight out of a fairytale in their bridal attire. Chance chose an all-white tuxedo and black bowtie while Kirsten looked like the bell of the ball in a strapless dress. You can literally feel the love radiating through the photo.
After exchanging vows with the woman of his dreams, Chance posed for a flick with the men he calls his mentors: his father, Ken Williams-Bennett, Dave Chappelle, Kanye West, and Kirk Franklin. Pretty solid squad, if you ask me!
The Shade Room also captured some photos from the outdoor wedding ceremony, which took place in Newport, California and boasted an assortment of white roses. At some point during the ceremony, the couple’s three-year-old daughter Kensli joined her parents at the altar for an embrace.
According to the Chicago Tribune, Chance and Kirsten had already been legally married for more than two months before their big day. The couple officially said “I Do” at the Cook County clerk’s office in Chicago on December 27.
Just two days before their big wedding, Chance let his followers in on the story of how he met Kirsten at age 9. As it turns out, his wife-to-be performed in a mini talent show at his mother’s office party. After running off, too nervous to dance with her, Chance delighted at the idea of a do-over. “16 years later, it’s happening. This weekend is the time, and the place is my wedding. I’m gonna dance with my wife because this is my destiny.”
*Grabs tissue*. Congrats to The Bennetts!
