Dej Loaf is spreading the love and paying it forward with a kind gesture.
The songstress announced on Instagram Thursday night that ahead of dropping the music video for her new single, “Liberated” with Leon Bridges, she’d be covering the cost of marriage licenses for New Yorkers.
“On June 8th, I am helping people get liberated. Visit New York City Hall to have your marriage license costs covered by me. Love wins when #PeopleGetLiberated,” her post read.
Not one to discriminate, the songstress sounded off in the comments that her generous offer to pay the license fee applies to anyone who is preparing to tie the knot — no matter their sexual orientation.
As for her recently dropped track, “Liberated” is a tropical-vibe feel-good song about finding freedom.
It’s nice to see Dej practice what she preaches by offering a helping hand.
