Angela Simmons and Shad “Bow Wow” Moss dated briefly but never made it to the official “boyfriend/girlfriend” stage. And now Simmons is revealing why in an exclusive sneak peek of Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta, airing tonight.
In a new clip of tonight’s episode, Simmons says: “He was not ready. It was a long time ago.” Bow’s mother Teresa concurs, adding, “He was so young.”
Despite what happened between them, Teresa just wants her son to find a healthy relationship—and she has Angela in mind. “You know you always were my favorite,” she tells Simmons in the preview.
The pair will apparently reconnect in this new season and it looks like Bow Wow is shooting his shot once again. “Let’s just get married and have a kid…f–k it,” he says in the season trailer to an apprehensive-looking Simmons.
This isn’t the first time Bow Wow and Simmons have hashed out their relationship issues on camera. Back in 2017, the rapper revealed that their split was due to Simmons not wanting to be intimate. “She was a virgin. I didn’t understand [that],” he admits in a confessional interview. “I wanted sex.”
This season Bow Wow and Angela Simmons join Drea Kelly, ex-wife of disgraced singer R. Kelly, as she tries to shield her children from the disturbing headlines about their father. Waka Flocka Flame and his wife, Tammy, are starting fresh after renewing their vows in Cancun. Da Brat tries to reform both her image and her finances. The ever-controversial Brandon Barnes (Debra Antney’s godson) is back and his ways finally catch up to him in an explosive uncovering of the truth.
Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta airs tonight at 9 p.m. ET/PT on WEtv.
