Last night, Season 15 of The Bachelorette began with a new leading lady: Hannah B.
Now, I won’t bore you with too many background details, but here’s a few just to catch you up. She was on last season of The Bachelor with suitor Colton and she was Miss Alabama in 2018. Boom! I think that’s all you need to know.
Now, what I am here to do today is introduce you to all of the BLACK-chelors, because in the words of our girl Issa Rae…
Here’s who we have this season:
First up is Daron – a 25-year-old IT Consultant from Buckhead, GA. He’s a video game nerd who is ranked nationally in Guitar Hero. Daron was a man of few words with very jittery energy as he headed in the wrong direction to enter the mansion.
Next, we have Dustin – a 30-year-old, Real Estate Broker from Chicago. Dustin needed no introduction because he was one of the Black-chelors she had previously met after being announced as the new Bachelorette at the “The Bachelor: After The Rose”. They were happy to see each other again as he headed into the mansion.
Then there’s Hunter – a 24-year-old pro-surfer from Westchester, CA. He currently lives at home with his parents and quit a corporate job to pursue his goals as an athlete. Hunter came out the limo with his neck tie in his pocket and suggested that maybe he and Hannah could “tie-the-knot”
We also have Jonathan – a 27-year-old server from Los Angeles, CA. Jonathan coins himself the life of the party, which was not apparent last night as he was stressing about not getting a rose. Jonathan, however, brought Hannah a pizza and offered her a “pizza his heart.” Very clever!
There’s my personal favorite: Mike, a 31-year-old Portfolio Manager and Air Force Veteran from San Antonio, TX. Mike exited the limo looking all handsome and well poised, giving Hannah compliments along with sharing the 5 C’s that he lives by: character, charm, charisma, consistency & compassion.
Last but not least, we have Thomas – 27-year-old pro-basketball player from Detroit, MI. According to his bio, Thomas is a mama’s boy whose family has never met any woman he’s dated. Thomas also claims that meeting the bachelorette has topped all of his international travels in the last 4-5 years.
**SPOILER ALERT**
At the end of the night, Hannah chose to not tie the knot with Hunter and to send Thomas back to his international travels. This leaves us with four BLACK-chelors to cheer for on Season 15 of The Bachelorette. See y’all next week to see how we do!
