If you’ve seen the summer 2017 blockbuster hit film, Girls Trip, then you know that Jada Pinkett Smith is sort of an expert at the Grapefruit Method but she just admitted she knows a thing or two about giving a different kind of pleasure.
On her Facebook Watch series, Red Table Talk, the star opened up to daughter Willow about the pleasure and pitfalls of self-love — the sexual kind.
“I think by your age, I gave myself multiples first,” she told the 17-year-old. “Multiple orgasms. I was really into it at one point.”
Pinkett Smith shared that her devotion to the exploration of her sexual gratification almost led down a toxic path.
“I actually think I went through kind of an addiction, too, with it. And then one day, I was like, ‘Enough. You’re having five orgasms a day,’” she recalled.
In addition to Willow, Pinkett Smith also had a candid conversation about sex with her mother, Adrienne, and her daughter’s best friend, Telana. She also recounted her first time having sex.
“I remember my first sexual experience was amazing. I wouldn’t say amazing like, ‘awwww!’ But I remember Gammy saying to me, ‘oh I wish I could be there to hold your hand, that’s going to be terrible.’ And mine wasn’t. It was like, ok, yeah, alright!’ But I also came into it differently. My grandmother taught me about self-pleasuring because she wanted me to know that that pleasure was from me. She didn’t want me to fall into the hands of a man and if he gave me pleasure to think that that was him. And she taught me at 9!”
How much self-love is too much self-love in this case?
