“We are very fond of our first summer as a couple and the romance we shared during that time.”
Kevin thought Ashley, was “a cute freshman new to Ann Arbor that would need some help finding her way around campus.”
“I knew he was the one when I began to miss him every time we had to part.” Ashley says, After graduation I moved to Chicago but I found myself traveling via bus, car, and/or train ever chance I could to see him."
“Our love was strengthened by our commitment to see each other and stay together no matter what.”
“We try to enjoy what every season has to offer, including picnics in the spring, kayaking in the summer, apple picking in the fall, and trying out different winter sports.”
A beautiful black and white portrait of the couple.
Kevin knew Ashley was the one when she said ‘I love you’ in Chamorro (the native language of his native place of birth Guam).
“Our proposal is so special because we still found each other despite the fact that we’re from opposite ends of the world!”
“It is truly a blessing to have such a bright future with such an amazing person.”
“Our first date happened by accident. We agreed to meet for dinner with friends, but arrived to a table set for two. To this day I am still unsure whether the date for two was planned or not, but either way it worked out for the best!”
“We logged many miles during our time apart but it never bothered us. What really mattered was getting back to each other.”
“Kevin was one of the people I met when I arrived at the University of Michigan because he was my resident advisor. Little did I know that the helpful RA would turn out to be Mr. Right!”
“We both love to cook together as often as we can. Kevin teaches me traditional dishes from Guam and I share my baking tips with him.”
Ashley had no clue Kevin was going to propose! He totally surprised her!
The couple poses with a handful of balloons. They’re love will certainly lift off! See more lovely photos from Ashley and Kevin’s fun engagement shoot here.
