Meet Claire and Antonio. They’re college sweethearts headed down the aisle. They met and fell in love as students attending Howard University. Claire fell for Antonio the minute he walked into her freshman chemistry lab. After a few weeks of exchanging stares and playing it coy, Antonio finally asked Claire out. The rest, as they say, is history.
During their six-year relationship, the couple was forced to overcome many obstacles together. Antonio was deployed to Kuwait and saw Claire very little, meanwhile, she enrolled in a vigorous medical school program.
With strength and love they made it work, and on April 22, 2011 Antonio gave Claire the surprise of her life. She came home to her apartment to find the floor filled with rose petals and a photographer standing by. While Antonio got down on one knee and presented her with a ring, a camera was live-streaming the entire proposal for all their friends and family to watch.
