Summer Lovin’

“We met one summer while at a local restaurant in Columbia, South Carolina,” says Flo. “A mutual friend secretly set us up on a blind date after months of failed attempts.”

Surprising Love

Anthony wasn’t the kind of guy Flo would’ve expected to fall for. “I thought he was very quiet and reserved and definitely not my type,” she admits. We’re glad she was open to something new.

My Lovely Valentine

“Our first Valentine’s Day he prepared me a nice bubble bath with champagne and chocolate strawberries and also cooked me a full meal that consisted of all my favorite breakfast items,” Flo recalls. “I loved it!”

Love Letters

“We love to text and write love notes on our bathroom mirrors with dry erase markers,” Anthony says. How cute is that? Swoon!

Sweet Tooth

“He is the sugar daddy of sweetest things,” Flo shares. Aww! We like this guy, a lot.

Open Hearts

“I love that my future husband is kind, generous, hard working and open to new ideas about life,” Flo says.

Good Cop, Bad Cop

“He is the best man for me because he keeps me grounded and within reason about life, complex decisions and love,” Flow says. “He is the good cop to my bad cop.”

“We are the standard for young, black and in love,” Flo says about her picture-perfect relationship with Anthony.

Healing Hearts

Our bride-to-be has had her heart broken before. “I knew he was the one when he stayed after finding out about all of my past drama and heartaches,” she admits. “The average person would have just picked up and run, but he stayed and said he wanted to help me heal and experience true love.”

Family Affair

Flo is ready to get married and become one big, happy family. “When we’re finally husband and wife, I can’t wait to make everything official with our name changes and family dynamics,” Flo says.

So Anxious

Flo’s leading man was a little nervous about popping the question when the moment came. “I was very sure of my commitment, but I was anxious to propose,” Anthony admits.

Game of Love

“I love to spend time watching football with her all day long,” Anthony says of spending quality time with his beautiful bride-to-be.

Don’t Run From Love

The bride-to-be wasn’t looking for love when Anthony came around so she admits she played a little hard to get. “I avoided direct eye contact and conversation as much as I could,” she says. “I was hoping he didn’t ask me for my phone number.”

Family Time

Anthony and Flo’s blended family enjoys the time they now have together as one family unit. “We spend time with our son and daughter and watch sports or play games together,” Flo says.

A Higher Power
