Where did you meet your man?
We attended the same high school and both had a slight crush on one another back then, but we didn’t act on it at the time. Several years later we ran into one another at our hometown Blockbuster store and the rest is history.
Weirdest date you’ve ever been on?
I don’t know if this can be classified as a weird date or not, but it was pretty awful. Keith and I were about six months into dating and we didn’t see each other as often as we would have liked because we both were away at college. He fell asleep on our date together. I was so embarrassed and upset. However, I must say he was able to redeem himself after that.
What’s the sweetest thing he’s ever done for you ?
I was driving back to school from New Jersey and my car broke down. He immediately left school to pick me up and drove me five hours to the University of Connecticut. Then he turned right back around and drove back to school. I was so amazed by his selfless and kind act.
Why is he the best man for you?
He understands me and accepts me just as I am. His support and love keeps me going, and I can’t wait for the day to marry the love of my life.
Describe your most romantic date ever.
When we first started dating, he sent me flowers every week for a month straight.
How did he pop the question?
The proposal ended up actually being a two-day process. The night before the proposal he took me on a horse and carriage ride in Old City-Philadelphia. We then dined at one of my favorite restaurants and returned home. The next morning I woke up to a ring on my finger!
What was really going through your mind when he proposed?
I just remember laughing nervously and thinking, “Is this really finally happening?”
Who would you cast to play your future hubby in a movie?
I would without question cast Mekhi Phifer.
Describe the man you’re about to marry in three words or less.
He’s loving, hard-working and God-fearing.
What are you most looking forward to about marriage, Keith?
Spending my life with someone I know loves me unconditionally and embracing all life has to offer with her by my side.
