Groom-to-be: Harold Q. Jackson, 25, Staff Sergeant, United States Air Force
Wedding Date: June 30, 2012
Stop for Love
Jessica and Harold were casually introduced two years ago through a mutual friend at a local party. Jessica admits that she hardly paid Harold any attention as it happened. That night she was tired and really didn’t feel much like partying, let alone meeting someone new. But Harold already had his eye on her and had no plans to let the moment pass. Ironically, it was a red light outside the party that gave these two the green light for their love connection. After exchanging numbers while stopped, Jessica was surprised to see that Harold called her the very next day. Their first date was a week later. They talked for hours over dinner and ended the night watching back-to-back movies at his place until the sun came up.
A Public Display of Affection
A year and a half into their flourishing relationship, Harold knew that it was time to take things to the next level. Harold remembers the moment that he knew she was The One. He just looked at her and said to himself, “that’s going to be my wife.” With his heart in his hand, Harold proposed to Jessica on May 7th, 2011, at the Kentucky Derby in front of thousands of people. Jessica was so taken by surprise by his proposal that she asked Harold, “Are you serious?” After the initial shock passed, Jessica accepted Harold’s proposal and the wedding planning began. Jessica and Harold will join in matrimony this summer in a tropical paradise themed wedding. Help us congratulate the happy couple.
