Her Leading Man: James Edward Woods III, 34, Factory Worker
The Big Day: May 11, 2013
Where and how did you meet your man?
I met James while working as an office manager at a modeling school. I was working one day, and he came to the office to reschedule some classes he had missed. I asked him his name and he said, “’My name is James, but everyone calls me Taco.'” I said, “I’m going to call you James.” And we went from there.
What was your first impression of him?
My first impression of James was that he was fine (check!), tall (check!), good looking (check!) and smart (check!). I thought he was cool. At first, I was slightly turned off because during our first conversation he told me everything about himself — good, bad, and ugly. From day one he was an open book. I later learned from my wise counsel that that’s a good characteristic in a man.
What was his first impression of you?
He says his first impression of me was that I was beautiful, had a good head on my shoulders and “a great mind.” He was smitten from day one.
What do you two do together for fun?
We love taking trips together. Savannah is one of our favorite places. We like going sightseeing and doing “touristy” things. He is a baseball player so we enjoy going to see the Braves, and we’re also thinking about joining a bowling league.
Weirdest date you’ve ever been on?
The start of our first date was slightly weird because that particular day I was craving Taco Bell for some strange reason. When he picked me up, I asked if we could go there for dinner. We ordered, sat in his Jeep, ate tacos and talked.
Why is he the best man for you?
I believe he is the best man for me because he never judges me, my past or my decisions. He is very supportive of my career, including me starting a business. He truly believes in me and my abilities. He is my number one fan, and he really challenges me to be a better person.
