“When I first met Terrance, I thought he was handsome and easy to talk to,” bride-to-be Nydia shares. The couple were introduced my a mutual friend over email but didn’t connect until he came to visit her hometown for business.”
“It was love at first conversation,” says Nydia. “From our first conversation, I knew there was something special about Terrance.”
“We met each other’s family and friends a couple months into dating,” shares the bride-to-be. “Everything went smoothly.”
Nydia and her love Terrance spend their downtime exploring the nation’s capitol. “We try new restaurants and new adventures around D.C.,” Nydia reveals. “We’re both self-proclaimed ‘foodies,’ so if we’re not trying a new restaurant we’re likely trying a new recipe at home. We often debate who is the better cook between us.”
Nydia will never forget their romantic summer getaway to Greece. “We visited Athens, Santorini and Mykonos,” she shares. “Terrance proposed to me while we were there, so that will always be our best vacation.”
“We actually haven’t had any ‘weird’ dates,” Nydia insists. “We’re both easy going and can find fun in almost any situation. One especially memorable date was when we went skydiving together. It was something we’ve both wanted to do for a while.”
“Terrance shows his love for me with sweet acts on a daily basis,” boasts the bride-to-be. Sounds like a keeper to us.
“It’s impossible to choose one thing that I love most about Nydia—I love so much about her,” says Terrance. “She is kind, loving and has a huge heart. One very special thing about her is her unyielding commitment to our relationship. She is always focused on making our union stronger to ensure that it lasts forever.”
“I know that I’ll never have to worry about us becoming complacent—she keeps us both committed to ensuring each other’s happiness,” says Terrance. “Trust is also really important in our relationship. We always give each other the benefit of the doubt, so we avoid a lot of unnecessary disagreements and hurt feelings.”
“Falling in love within Nydia was effortless,” Terrance adds. “There was always this feeling that it was meant to be.”
“I had her number for months before I actually called her,” Terrance admits. “And because we were living in different states, I didn’t really think anything would come of it. But the more I got to know her, the more convinced I became that she was The One.”
“There’s just something about experiencing new things in life with her that makes the experience even more worthwhile,” Terrance shares. “Typically, these involve traveling, sharing a meal or making new friends.”
“We always communicate respectfully and lovingly,” says the bride-to-be. “We use not just our words, but our actions.“
The couple plans to tie the knot this summer in an elegant black tie affair. (We can’t wait to see those photos.) For their honeymoon they’re headed to Thailand.
“Terrance got me a round diamond surrounded by a double halo with a double shank setting,” says Nydia. “We shopped around so he could get an idea of my style, and of course, he picked the perfect ring.”
“Terrance is the best man for me because he understands me and pushes me to be better,” says Nydia. “I can never get enough of Terrance. We differ in so many ways, but together we strike the perfect balance. “
“My friends love the way Terrance treats me and they find him very funny,” says Nydia. “My mom loves him too and she finds him very respectful and sweet.” Join us as we congratulate Nydia and Terrance on their upcoming big day.
