The future looks promising for Kenya Moore and her husband Marc Daly after all!
The haircare entrepreneur recently shared some positive news about her marriage to Daly five months after announcing their separation. During a recent appearance on Radio Andy’s Reality Checked, the reality star says things are looking up. “We are in a really good place right now. Our relationship has really taken a turn. He has been so kind to me, sweet,” Kenya told host Amy Phillips. “Our relationship hasn’t been this good in a long time.”
The turning point happened back in November, when Moore and Daly came together for their daughter Brooklyn’s first birthday party. “When I saw that we had an opportunity to co-parent and do it in a great way and be an example for Brooklyn, I said, let’s do the party together. And we did, and we had a great time,” Kenya explains. “I just think that that really showed him that I’m not after him. I want a calm, peaceful home, and a great environment for my daughter. That’s all I want.”
What’s kept Moore grounded in the midst of her relationship hurdles is her devotion to being the best mother possible. “My heart is beating in another person,” she says. “And so for me, all I have ever wanted to do is protect her, and I will to the day I die. And if that means protecting her from negativity or anything within our home, then I’m going to do that.”
The peaceful status of their relationship is a very stark contrast to what viewers have been seeing on the show. In an earlier episode, the Dalys went on a triple date with Cynthia Bailey, Mike Hill, Kandi Burruss, and Todd Tucker. Things at the dinner table got tense when Daly called his wife “flashy” and refused to have her back about her longstanding feud with Nene Leakes.
“The show is taped six months ago, so we’re looking at it backwards, basically,” Kenya said. “He definitely wants to stay together, he wants to reconcile,” she said. “I’m open to it as long as we really put in the work and that work comes out to be a positive and loving relationship.”
