Laila Ali may be a four-time undefeated boxing champion, an author, and daughter to boxing legend Muhammad Ali, but her most important titles are always mom and wife.
The mother of two, and wife of former NFL player Curtis Conway, hung up her boxing gloves for motherhood and couldn’t be happier.
Laila and Curtis Conway recently celebrated 11 years of marriage, and she took to Instagram to show just how much she loves her husband and all his great qualities she is grateful for.
“Today I am celebrating my 11 year anniversary with my husband @curtisconway. I am grateful for the unconditional love that we have for one another; his love feels like that of a husband, friend, brother and father all wrapped in one. He’s always looking out for my best interest & pushes me to be the best version of myself…and I wouldn’t ask for anything more! NOTHING BUT REAL LOVE!
Laila and Curtis wed back in 2007 and have since expanded their family with 2 young children. Throughout the years both partners have had major life changes occur, from career transitions to raising a family, but being flexible and understanding has helped with those unpredictable changes. When asked how she made it work, Laila’s answer was simple: “Make sure you have someone that, as you change and you grow and you start a family, that it’s the right person for all of those things, stressing the importance of sharing the same goals and values and finding a person whose characteristics are consistent with what they say they want,” Laila shared with Brides.com.
Cheers to 11 years!
