When it comes to blending families, there are a few celebrity couples that do it flawlessly. Lenny Kravitz, Lisa Bonet and Jason Momoa are definitely on that list.
Kravitz recently opened up about the seamless co-parenting relationship he shares with his ex-wife Lisa Bonet, as well as his friendship with her husband and Aquaman star Jason Momoa. In an interview with British publication The Times, the musician says the three of them have worked very hard to get to this amicable place. “You go through a marriage with somebody, you break up and it’s very difficult,” the 55-year-old says. “But [Lisa and I] put the work in and we took the time so that we could become best friends again.”
He’s also proud of the relationship he has with Momoa, saying, “Our families are blended. I love her husband ― he’s like a brother to me ― and I love the kids. It’s beautiful, but it takes work.”
Kravitz and Bonet got married in 1987 and divorced in 1993. They are the parents of actress Zoë Kravitz, who recently got married to actor Karl Glusman in Kravitz’s Paris apartment. Bonet married Momoa, who began dating in 2005, got married in 2017 and share 12-year-old daughter Lola and 10-year-old son Nakoa-Wolf.
The feeling is mutual on Bonet’s end as well. The actress gave a rare interview with PORTEREdit back in 2018, discussing her love for Momoa and pride in her longstanding friendship with Kravitz. “It’s fantastic,” she said. “It’s full-on family love.”
Back in December 2018, Momoa revealed that he’d purchased matching bone skull rings for himself and Kravitz, made by an artist he discovered on Instagram.
Gotta love the family love!
