Not every post-divorce blended family situation is blissful, but couples like Lisa Bonet and her husband, Aquaman star Jason Momoa are showing us how it’s done as they continue to foster a positive and healthy relationship with her ex-husband, musician Lenny Kravitz.
Momoa recently shared his appreciation for Kravitz with a very special present. While purchasing a new bone skull ring for himself, Momoa decided to get a matching ring for Kravitz too in order to thank him for supporting his recent Saturday Night Live hosting gig.
Kravitz and Bonet married in 1987 and welcomed their daughter Zoe Kravitz, now 30, that following year. Unfortunately shortly after becoming parents the two divorced in 1993 and went on to live separate romantic lives. Although Bonet and Kravitz were no longer romantically involved, their family dynamic remained in-tact.
in fact, it’s gotten better according to daughter Zoe. In a 2015 Ocean Drive interview, Zoe shared that she is thrilled about the her parents’ healthy relationship and just happy everyone gets along.
“They have so much love for each other. It makes things so easy that my parents are still very close. My dad and my step-dad get along really well, and my dad loves and is close with my brother [Nakoa-Wolf Manakauapo Namakaeha Momoa] and sister [Lola Iolani Momoa].” Zoe shared.
Now this is what we call blended family goals.
