It seems these days, there doesn’t need to be much evidence available in order to stir up a rumor. Such is the case with Megan Thee Stallion, who has been the subject of some classic “he said/she said” as of late.
The rising rap superstar recently had to shut down a couple of false dating rumors. The first claimed that Megan was secretly seeing NBA player Tristan Thompson, who had invited her to the Cleveland Cavaliers’ recent game against the New York Knicks. The rapper responded to a fan calling her attention to the rumor, tweeting that not only is she not dating Thompson…she doesn’t even know him.
The truth, according to Megan’s twitter page, is that she just there to have a good time with her manager and a friend.
The rumor mill kept on churning after The Shade Room posted a video of Megan and Trey Songz at a club together. The artists hung out on Halloween, and were out again last night to turn up for his birthday. The video immediately led to assumptions that the pair were starting to be more than friends. Megan once again made it clear that she is single until you hear from her otherwise.
Megan Thee Stallion most recently dated fellow rapper Moneybagg Yo, whom she has collaborated with. The pair attended Rihanna’s Diamond Ball together, and Megan alluded in a tweet that he is the only man she’s publicly dated thus far.
Is there ever going to be a world where famous women can have fun or be seen out with a guy without being romantically linked to them? Girls just want to have fun, after all.
