Monica’s daughter Laiyah is growing up so fast! To celebrate the beautiful, smart girl she’s growing up to be, Monica and Shannon Brown threw her a “sweet six” sleepover decked out in a full unicorn theme.
Laiyah and her friends, including Teyana Taylor’s mini-me Junie and T.I. and Tiny’s little one Heiress, gathered for an oh-so adorable tea party and some pool time. They enjoyed unicorn cupcakes, cookies and sang happy birthday with a beautifully decorated unicorn cake.
Monica wrote a dedication to her daughter, writing, “Happy ‘Sweet Six’ Birthday Laiyah…. You’re the Sweetest Thing I’ve ever known… Continue to be a leader that’s compassionate & caring human that respects others while requiring the same because you are so worthy.”
The singer also shared moments from Laiyah’s birthday surprise at school. Though she couldn’t make it, her Dad came through and made sure Laiyah enjoyed her day. Monica took time to applaud Shannon for being an awesome Dad. “The times I looked for love in the wrong places & people was because the right people hadn’t loved me the way I needed them to,” she said. “He LOVES her & her brothers… I support every bit of that!!”
